BB Seaweed Fresh Face Mask - Lush Review

Our faces are so important. They greet our loved ones, offer comfort to those who need it and share our emotions when we can't quite find the words to express how we feel. A happy face can do a world of good and give people a positive impression of who you are. If you haven't picked up from my blog already, I am an avid promoter of positivity. This does not mean I am constantly in a good mood, believe me I can struggle to find the sunshine on a cloudy day as much as the next person. But I also believe that if we are in a place where everything looks bleak that its hard to pull yourself out unless you change your way of thinking.

After a big bump in the road I think we sometimes need to go back to basics. Take a time out, work on our smiles and why not have a pamper and make our faces fresh and ready to face the world again.
What better way to renew ourselves than to refresh and treat our face. The Lush BB Seaweed Fresh Face Mask offers a reviving and calming experience as well as cleansing and soothing the skin.

In appearance this Face Mask has a thick creamy consistency with light green/grey colouring. You can even see strips of fresh seaweed. Also created with ground almonds and Millet Flakes which gently scrubs away dead skin, Aloe Vera and Rose which softens and soothes, Rosemary Oil to rejuvenate and Kaolin to remove dirt and oil. Because it is made with fresh ingredients Lush handmade Fresh Face Masks should be kept in the fridge.

As you would imagine the smell is a magical reminder of escaping to the ocean but it is not over powered by the seaweed. There is also a faint rose aroma which drifts by on the air to uplift the mood and restore balance, it is subtle and does not distract from the unwinding setting you have been placed in.

The BB Seaweed Fresh Face Mask should be applied to already clean skin, cover face in a generous amount and leave for 10 - 15 minutes. There are three different stages to clay mask treatment. The first stage is the damp stage, where your skin absorbs all the beneficial minerals. The second stage is the beginning of the drying stage, where the mask cools and contracts, this stimulates your small blood vessels (capillaries) and encourages blood flow. The third and final stage is when you should wash the mask of with a warm wash cloth. This is not as some believe when the mask is dry and flaking but just before when it is still tacky. Don't leave the mask to long as once it has completely dried it can draw out moister causing dehydration and irritation.

Once removed my face felt refreshed, cleansed and soft; My skin was exfoliated in a gentle way which did not irritate my sensitive skin and the aroma was subtle enough to be relaxing yet not overpowering. I was highly impressed with this mask, though I don't tend to have to many problems with my skin it can be very unpredictable.
