Curvy Kates 10th Anniversary London Bus Tour!

My first time joining up with Curvy Kate was in July 2016, I had just started putting myself out there again after having my second son. I was on a journey, one I'm sure never really ends, to become more body positive and to love myself for who I am. I got through to the Live Auditions of the Curvy Kate Star in a Bra Competition and since then have worked on a couple of their fabulous campaigns. So this year when the brand turned 10, I knew I wanted to be involved. Though when my invite came through to join the Curvy Kate 10th Anniversary London Bus Tour, I did wonder if I was out of my depth, but as many things go in my life, I agreed, and just went along with the ride.

Hiding from the rain in my Elements Rainwear Ruby Raincoat
The invite called to invite me on the Curvy Kate DD (Double Decker) bus tour of Londons main attractions to celebrate '10 YEARS OF SUPPORTING YOUR BOOBS!' We were told there would be 'party games, goodie bags, cakes, balloons, a whole lot of lingerie and endless photo opportunities for the gram.' So really how could I refuse.

Before the event I was allowed to pick out the lingerie set I wanted to wear on the day, I went for the gorgeous Victory Flame Red Balcony Bra with the Victory Flame Red Shorts. As I hadn't been fitted in a while I asked for advice on what size to go for and was offered a photo fitting by the Bra Whisperer herself. I send a photo in a bra I already owned, stating the size it was, along with a photo from the front, side and back. Katie took a look and Bra Whispered me at a size 38G. I also went for a size 20 to give me comfort while travelling around.

When my Birthday Party Pack arrived the excitement really set in. Inside there was a branded little bus ticket and map of where we would be visiting along with the set I had chosen. I was so impressed with the Victory Set. The underwire Balcony Bra is made from a semi-sheer mesh material, which is double layered on the lower cup to add a little coverage. The bra fit perfectly (Thank you Bra Whisperer) and was perfect for my shape and size. I prefer Balcony Bras as the wide set straps and higher sides and lower set bust line means I have lots of support but a full cleavage. I love the cut out detail on the chest and the silver triangle hardware that really gives this set the a smoking hot appearance. The Shorts were heigh waisted and made in the same mesh material, they also have the silver triangle detailing and have no double layering so are pretty see through all over, I chose to wear some plain red briefs underneath while outside.

So on the 13th June I traveled down to London and met a group of beautiful ladies at Tower Bridge ready to board the Birthday Bus. We were a little nervous at first and the rain would not let up but we stripped off and and decided to enjoy this freaky and fabulous day to the fullest. Once on the bus we danced to music, ate cake, played pass the parcel and waved at all that passed us by. We travelled past such favourite monuments as Tower Bridge, St Pauls Cathedral, Trafalgar Square, Westminster and more. The reaction from the public were fabulous, waves and smiles. Pictures were taken and other women cheered, showing love and encouragement for all the different shapes and sizes they saw. It was empowering and encouraging. I loved seeing that in a world where people can be so cruel, there was also so much love.

Finally we ended the celebrations with a picnic in Hyde Park, the food provided by Curvy Kate was delicious, we were truly spoiled. We toasted with Prosecco to the wonderful work Curvy Kate had done and were gifted with incredible goodie bags.

The goodie bags were so amazing, I just wanted to thank Curvy Kate and all the brands who were included- Gifts from - Mark Hill Salon - Benefit Cosmetics UK - Shockbyshelby - Skinnydip London -Hawaiian Tropic - KIND Snacks.

Thank you for all those who took the time to read my post and to Curvy Kate for inviting me along for such a fabulous experience. It was such an honour to be a part of this day. Also a very big thank you to all the inspirational and beautiful ladies I met on the day, it was a pleasure to stop traffic with you.

The day was incredible, I am so glad I took that jump and did something scary and different. Everyone was so supportive and kind, they all spread love and acceptance through their day to day lives and all over which ever other platforms they cover. These are the people you want in your life. People who support you and spread positivity and I can not say how thankful I am to spend a day around these amazing women and for all the friends I made on the day. This is the beautiful community Curvy Kate encourage, and this is why they are so much more than just a brand, they are a body positivity movement, celebrating everyone, for all their wonderful differences. This is definitely a bus I want to jump on board.
