Bubblegrub Bubble Bar - Lush Review

As you may or may not know, as I have started my blog I am over half way through my second pregnancy. So this mothers day is extra special for me. I am blessed enough to be having my second son and I am lucky to have been treated to some of the Lush Mothers Day Range! So what better way of celebrating being a mum then to share my Lovely Lush bubbles with my son!

This is Freddie, My little water baby. He loves Lush and often enjoys watching Mummys Bath Bombs and helping Mummy unwrap her Lush presents when they come in the post before he heads off to nursery. We both love baths when we are sad and insist we will never leave, we love baths when we are happy and want to pamper ourselves and we adore baths when we can't think of any excuse other than we want a bath anyways. So it is just perfect that while I can use my mothers day gift to relax all my pregnancy aches, he can enjoy this cute little Bubbleroon.

As you can also imagine my son loves bugs, as children often do. So we were both excited to try the Bubblegrub Bubble Bar, not only is this cute little caterpillar adorably fun and friendly but he smelt amazing too! This was a very different smell than others I have tried from Lush and I am crazy about it!

The imagery of this Bubble Bar presents me with the idea of adventure, of crawling through the woods searching the greenery for unknown life.

When you catch your own little critter and embark on your own endeavour it may not be how you imagined a Mothers Day gift to be packaged. We are used to the stereotypical hearts and flowers but really whats more appropriate than being reminded of fun moments with your child.

In appearance the Bubblegrub is made up of two layers, a shimmering bright green and a florescent orange, lovingly held together with Shea butter. The face features white chocolate button eyes and dried vanilla pods for antennas, with a little 'O' indent to make the mouth, a face any mother could fall for.

What I love about Bubbleroons is how you can use as much or as little as you like, We started with just the green layer and the water was turned a vivid green. we also could have chosen our little bubblegrubs face and made the water a sun kissed orange. Both brilliant scene setters for our forest expedition, but as we all know forests are made up of many different overlays and we needed lots of bubbles to search through.

After our little caterpillar had crawled through our bath we were left with lots of lovely fizzy bubbles, that lasted until the end of our journey, our water was transformed into a beautiful mossy green and the air smelt sweet and woody. Created from a mixture of soothing Sandalwood Oil, earthy Vetivert Oil and the sweet Tonka Absolute. Just like discovering a parting in a mass of trees and foliage we finally find a clearing, we could finally rest, laying in peace, in a cocoon of warm and relaxing aromas we enjoyed our moment in nature.

I truly loved this bubble bar, It really brought me to the peaceful tranquillity of being outside away from all the stresses of daily life as well as adding a little fun to bath time. I could smell the earthy fragrance around me and feel the soft warm air smooth my skin. It reminds me to appreciate the small things, which is one of the reasons I write this blog. I highly recommend the Bubblegrub Bubble Bar if you are searching for a blissful moment of peace or if you are wanting to celebrate mothers day by spending time with your little person.
