Lush Intergalactic Photoshoot with The Hourglass

So a few months ago my two worlds collided as I had a chance of mixing my love of Lush with my love of Modelling. I have worked with The Hourglass By Nicole Klein a few times and I can honestly say she is one of my favourite photographers. I love how passionate she is about what she does, how she knows how to show a lady off at her best and how she gets as excited as I do when we dream up some crazy ideas. Nicole and I have talked about our love of Lush on many of our meetings, and once we decided that we would love to do a shoot around a Lush theme, we knew we had to make it something a little outrageous.

The Lush Intergalactic Bath Bomb is a favourite among many, and it is not very hard to see why. If you haven't experienced it yet, the Intergalactic is a vivid blue bath ballistic with yellow and pink detailing. It is designed to represent a mystical planet, full of mystery and surprise. Scented with Pepper Mint, Vetivert Oil and Cedarwood Oil it gives you an energising and refreshing experience. So as well as being a bath bomb we both loved, we were also excited with the many ideas this bath bomb created and as we discussed costume and the setting, I still never realised just how fantastic Nicole could make this.

When I arrived I was offered a drink and we took some time to chat and relax, this is something Nicole always does to make sure her clients have time to calm any nerves and get to know her a little. Moving into the studio my hair was set in curlers and Nicole started my make up  (I'm always impressed by how talented she is, being able to do it all herself). We decided to go for a more 60's look to suit the space theme, and I absolutely loved my massive beehive hair style. My costume that day was provided by Nicole, I borrowed a space costume you may recognise if you are a fan of the Rocky Horror Picture Show. I can see where Nicoles creativity comes from when I learnt that her Mum had actually made it for her. Once ready we then moved on to the actual shoot.

Shoots like these take a lot of beforehand preparation, You need a photographer who has good communication, who is happy to throw around ideas and who can dip their toes into many different aspects of what goes into a photoshoot. Nicole has all of these qualities, plus enough knowledge of pinup and cosplay to help you along, even if, like me, you have never tried something like this before. We took some shots on a swing Nicole had in her studio (yes inside! amazing I know) and later on a higher stool as Nicole felt this gave a better position to later cut me out and to sit me on top of the bath bomb. So thats it, my part was done, I had a great time shooting with Nicole, having fun with my hair and make up and trying something completely different and now the hard part was over to Nicole.

After our shoot, Nicole had the job of capturing the bath bomb itself, in its solid form and dissolving in the bath. This would later be used to create the planet and the background. I don't have enough knowledge in photographer or editing to tell you exactly how it was done, but put simply, she then cut out all the different components and placed it together with a little magic to create the final image.

Though I love Nicoles Pinup Photoshoots, I am so glad she has expanded to include her quirkier work as well. She has so much talent, passion and creativity, that no matter how many years she has been doing this, each picture gets better every time and I never get bored of seeing a post from her.

If this is not enough to persuade you to book in with Nicole, then let me also tell you this. A shoot with Nicole is not just a pretty picture, its about having the chance to creative something hidden deep in your imagination, about bringing out that secret part of you, you have been too scared to let about before and about experiencing a fun day with Nicole and the mystical worlds she takes you too.

Thank you for reading my post, it has been so much fun to write about two things I love. So as well as recommending you try the Lush Intergalactic Bath Bomb, I also suggest you connect with Nicole and try out one of these fun shoots for yourself. You can find her on her Website, Facebook and Twitter.

  1. Lush integrated photo shoot is with the hour glass in the making of the web named as the bath bomb in year 2017. The picture and the detail is mentioned in the description in the clear set of mind and making the ideal sense of https://www.nerdywriters.co.uk/ creating the stories with the relaxing kind.
