When I was given the opportunity to choose an outfit from Simply Be, I knew that I was looking for one that would bring me into Autumn in celebration. I wanted bright colours to make up for the lack of sun and pretty patterns to keep me cheerful, and when I saw this fruity number, I knew it would be the one.The Voodoo Vixen Keira Dress is a bright, floral and fruit design, featuring apples and strawberries. The colours are mainly green and red, with hints of yellow. It has a collard, V neckline with red buttons trailing down the bust. It is made from cotton, has a discrete zip concealed on the side and comes with a red material belt that emphases the nip in at the waist.
Voodoo Vixen sizing can sometimes be a little confusing, with a 1XL being a 16 - 18, it can leave you a little unsure over where to place yourself. Usually wearing a size 18, I trusted the brand size guide and was pleased with the fact it ran true to size. There is some stretch in the fabric meaning it was also very comfortable, and though there is a zip on the side I found I didn't event need to use it. The skirt is flared and looks great with or without a petticoat. Its length is 431/2 inches and I am 5'8 meaning it falls just below my knees. As I have mentioned in previous posts, I feel more comfortable when my dresses end just below my knee as I feel it compliments my curvy figure.
This Voodoo Vixen outfit is bright, cheerful and vivacious. It is a go to dress for days when I am needing an energy or confidence boost. I love the fact it can be worn casually as a sweet summer dress or dressed up with a petticoat, change of belt and a pretty bag for a night out.
I absolute love it, the quality is fantastic and I am so impressed with the fit. I would possibly change the belt as fabric ones tend to fold over, but overall I can not find a fault with this outfit. It comes in a size 8 to 26 and can be found on the Simply Be website, where there are many other beautiful dresses for you to peruse.
