I was recently contacted by the wonderful Bee Jackson, who's work I had admired for ages. She asked if I would be interested in shooting with her and of course I accepted. Bees work is ethereal and elegant, it creates beautiful stories of romance and adventure and I wanted to be a part of it!
The contact before the shoot was great, we shared a few ideas and Bee took the time to get to know what I wanted from the shoot, what would make me comfortable and she was there to answer any questions I had. I packed a case of some of my dresses I thought would match the style we had talked about and Bee had a skirt that she had made from Tulle that she said we could play with. As you can image this made me very excited as I do love a big floaty outfit.Bee took me through her notes, she had researched different poses and lighting she wished to try. I loved how organised she was and that even though her work is beautiful, you could see she obviously works hard, she is always learning more and always improving.
Annoyingly I was actually just recovering from the flu when it came time to shoot with Bee. We all know how uncomfortable you can feel when you are ill, but Bee was so patient and she really looked after me. She was amazing at posing me when I felt a little unconfident and she made the shoot so much fun that I had no time to feel sorry for myself.
Working with Bee was perfection, she is friendly, professional and I swear she is a magical fairy that creates a wave of light which makes everything it touches stunning. I highly recommend working with her. When you have a shoot, you want to actually feel you look good. I've never had a shoot that allowed me to feel so beautiful, so naturally.
Thank you for reading, if you would like to find out more about shooting with Bee, you can reach her on her Website, Facebook and Twitter.
