Lucia Gingham Dress - Aida Zak Review

I love Gingham, it reminds me of summer, of picnics and of fresh country farms. There is something so refreshing and cheerful about this print and I can't help but get excited when I see a dress made out of it. I have heard of Aida Zak through shopping with Collectif, but it was only while speaking to them myself that I realised just how much they do. Offering a clothing range inspired by classic icons such as Sofia Loren, I knew I would not find it hard to fall in love with them.

The Lucia Gingham Dress is a beautiful vintage inspired flared dress, with a square neckline, a hidden side zip and a nipped in waistline. It has adorably large pockets, covered with a fresh white trim and cute little floral buttons that emphasises how perfect this dress is to bring on the summer feeling.

The dress is made from 97% Cotton and 3% Spandex. When choosing what size would fit me best I followed their sizing guide and found it very similar to Collectif which was reassuring as it was very familiar. I chose to go with the size 18, my standard size, which fit very well, though with this material I possibly could have sized down as it has a little stretch and I still have room on the waist.

I am so in love with this dress, I can not think of one thing I dislike about it. The material is lovely quality, the cut is flattering, even the square neckline that usually does not interest me somehow works in this style. Also I can be a little picky about length of dresses, I feel they need to come just below my knees, any longer and it does not flatter my shape. The length of the dress at 36 inches, falls perfectly on me I am 5'8 for anyone looking for a comparison.

This dress is £50.00 and is available on the Aida Zak and Collectif website, it comes in a uk size 8 to 18. I am also lusting after the Aida Zak Nora Abstract Tulip Dress which I sadly didn't get to purchase on my trip to Collectif Camden as the zipper was faulty, but I can firmly say that I am a very big Aida Zak fan and I will be purchasing lots more from them in the future.

Thank you for reading my post, if you haven't already I highly recommend you check out Aida Zak Clothing, though they work with Collectif, who I love also, I feel they are a bit of a hidden gem and deserve a lot more attention than they get. I can't wait to see whats next from them. If you would like to see too, you can follow them on Facebook and Instagram as well as their own website.
