Christmas London Trip - Lush, Chocolate and The Thistle Hotel!

I was so excited when I heard about the Lush Scented Cinema, and Gorilla Perfumes Chocolate Pairing, but I knew there was so much I wanted to do in London and such little time to do it in. So it made perfect sense to plan a little break for me and my lovely Hubby, to make the most of our time away. I have spent my last few posts telling you about the beautiful things we got to do on our Christmas London trip, so now I feel I should finish this mini series by including some other highlights, incase you are also looking for some suggestions for a get-away for two.
An important part I should tell you about should be where we stayed. After emailing around, we found a lovely little hotel only a two minute walk from Euston Station. The Thistle Hotel has three hundred and sixty two bedrooms, including Family, Deluxe and Executive rooms. They have six meeting rooms for Business guests, and also their own restaurant, Bar area and Costa Coffee. We talked to a very friendly member of staff called Sam, who helped us arrange something suitable for a couples weekend. Once we were booked in, we had good contact from the hotel and we felt they were always their if we needed further assistance.

Christmas cheer was truly in the air. Upon arriving we were greeted by smiling employees who welcomes us and offered, hot chocolate, mulled wine and christmas tree cookies. After checking in we were directed to our room. It was a beautiful deluxe king room with a lovely view over a little park. It was fresh, cosy and we were delighted with the personal touch of a little welcome note and vouchers for a drink. I was a bit nervous spending my first two nights away from my babies but having a nice room as a touch base really set me at ease. We settled into our room, enjoyed our hot chocolate and cookies and got ready to head out.

The rest of our first day was spent sight seeing on the London Eye. I'd never been on before but seeing London at night was magical. we also loved the 4d experience beforehand, what we thought would be the same old attraction piece was actually rather special and heartfelt. We then took a quick visit to Lush Victoria Station, where I could not help but get excited seeing the Christmas window display. This cosy little store is a perfect addition to add some colour to such a busy scene. Our night ended with a truly enchanting performance of Wicked at the Apollo Victoria. I have been dreaming of seeing this for ages and was not disappointed. Not only was the story well written but the performers, costumes and theatricals made this a show not to be missed. We grabbed dinner and dragged our tired feet back to the hotel, again feeling grateful that it was so quick and easy to get to. Using my new Lush from Victoria station I warmed up in a nice hot shower, before tucking ourselves into the huge comfortable bed ready for our next busy day.

And this is where we end, back at the beginning of this mini series of blogs. Our next day was full of Gorilla Perfume chocolate pairing, a Lush Oxford Street shop and the scented cinema experience, which I have already blogged about. Finally we headed back to our hotel and ordered room service. We so wanted to try the restaurant and was so happy they could bring it to us, so we could relax and enjoy our room. The food was lovely and plentiful, (both mornings we also had breakfast brought to our room, which in itself made us feel spoiled and ready for a positive day). The hotel also had many other facilities that made they stay such a luxury:

We loved our London experience, when life keeps us too busy to see each other, it was just the time we needed. All the places we visited were amazing, and I can not compliment our hotel enough, I highly recommend a stay if you are looking to make a London visit easy and stress free. I can't wait for my next stay and would happily use them again for leisure or business. If you would like to contact the hotel they are very helpful and can be found on Thistle Euston Website.

Thank you for reading and I hope you have enjoyed walking through our trip with us.
