29 High Street Perfume - Lush Review

It seems that when it comes to the smell of a Lush Store, people either love it or hate it. I love the anticipation of walking towards a Lush store, being pulled in by the magical 'Lush Scent' and exploring what products my nose will lead me to. I love the image the fragrance presents to me, like a loony toons aroma cloud turning into a hand and beckoning me to Grannies pie in the window, or Charlie entering the chocolate factory. The smell of a Lush store is a friendly smile welcoming you in and hinting of the wonders inside.

Though I've said it before, I will say it again, one of my favourite things about Lush is their perfumes. So when I found they had taken the scent of a Lush Store and bottled it, I knew that this was a piece of the heart of Lush, a part that I had to capture for my own.

The perfume is not only inspired by the Lush scent, but by the 29 High street Store, which it is named after. This store is the first ever Lush, which is located in Poole. It is the only store to stock this much sought after perfume.

29 High Street Perfume has changed in name and appearance a few times over the years, but is now back to its original name. It is presented in a beautiful 30ml glass spray bottle, with the shops entrance artistically designed on the label. The fragrance itself is a cheerful and playful scent, it has a sharp, citrusy sherbet opener and as it develops on the skin, it takes you on a trip through some lush favourites.

It is a complex fragrance with many layers, it is created with a blend of: stress relieving Ylang Ylang Absolute, soothing Sandlewood Oil, floral Jasmine Absolute, uplifting Lime Oil, refreshing Lemon Oil and sweetly scented Tonka Absolute. These ingredients set the tone and lead me to pick out individual products. The themes that stand out to me include Avobath, Honey I washed The Kids, Blue Skies and Fluffy White Clouds, Flying Fox and Karma. I am also reminded of lighter products such as American Cream and Butter Ball when the top notes settle down.

This is a strong scent that last on your skin throughout the day. Working with your bodies natural oils, it slowly reveals different layers and softens, offering a more creamy, floral aroma. It is uplifting and cheery as well as being warm and comforting.

This fragrance is a unique and truly special creation, it may at first seem a little strange but I highly suggest wearing it around, where you will begin finding the familiar notes. It is a must have for all Lush fans. It doesn't just smell of Lush, it also takes you on a journey through Lush history. 29 High Street Perfume is a keepsake in perfume form, It is only available at the Lush Poole store, so purchasing it is not just a normal shopping trip but a full memory in the making.

I could not urge you enough to treat yourself and become apart of Lush, I love the fact that it is only available in Poole and that visiting to purchase this fragrance was a part of a wonderful experience. If how ever you can not make it down to Lush Poole (which again I really recommend you do) it is going to be available in the Lush Kitchen on Monday the 30th November 2015!

Thank you for reading my post, have you tried this perfume yet? or will you be picking it up from the kitchen on Monday? Please comment and let me know what you think.
