Love Soap - Lush Review

I am lucky enough to be in Love, and even luckier to be loved in return. I do not take it lightly how fortunate I am in the fact that me and my love are able to build a life together. I often think back to the time when people in our situation (mixed race marriage) would of been hurt or ridiculed for simply loving one another. I can't help getting teary when I think of the pain caused and the anger felt for such a ridiculous reason. All love is beautiful, the world could not possibly be worse off for people sharing their love and being kind to each other.

So for me, the Lush #GayisOk Campaign is not just for gay rights, it is for equal rights, we all deserve to love who we want without being afraid. From the 25th June to the 5th July, 825 Lush stores worldwide are campaigning, asking customers to post selfies and to share that they agree gay is okay. They have also released the Love Soap where profits will go to the Love Fund supporting AllOut and grassroots LGBT rights groups.

Not only is the Love Soap supporting a very wonderful campaign, it is also a beautiful product. In appearance this striking bar is gold, bold and glittery. It shows its support by passionately shouting, in large raised letters #GAY IS OK.
The fragrance is simply stunning, it is perfumed with 'Love' from Gorilla Perfumes. The scent is uplifting and empowering, created from a blend of toning Lemongrass Oil, soothing Bergamot Oil and cleansing Sicilian Lemon Oil. It also shares a related scent to the Fizzbanger Bath Bomb.

After showering myself in this little bar of sparkles, my skin was left feeling soft and bright, the scent lingered and my mind felt revitalised and alert. I also could not stop smiling as I noticed that I still wore little sprinkles of glitter.

I love that each aspect of the soap has been thought about, from its appearance, the scent and the effect from the ingredients. This soap captures so many emotions from the sweetness of first love to the strength of the fight.

"What if your love was illegal? In 76 countries it's a crime to be gay. In 10 it can cost you your life. We at @lushltd are telling the world why #GayisOk!"
I could not urge you enough to purchase this limited edition soap before it is gone. Not only are you supporting an important campaign, but you are also getting a beautifully designed bathing product. You can purchase these now from you local lush store or on the Lush Website.
